Light refreshments will be available on site on the day.
Conditions of Sale
The sale is conducted in accordance with our Standard Conditions of Sale as displayed on sale day. (Copies available upon request).
Registration
A buyer's number system will be in operation at the sale - all bidders must register at the payment office prior to the sale. Bidders not known to the auctioneer will be required to produce personal and company indentification and to pay a CASH DEPOSIT of £300 at the time of registration. Overseas bidders - £1,000.
Payment
All goods must be paid for in full by 5.00pm, within 48 hours of the sale. The payment office will be open on site Monday to Friday & Saturday mornings & will accept payment by cash, cheque, debit & credit card and by bank transfer. Goods will only be released upon confirmation of cleared funds. Please note we are no longer able to accept bankers drafts.
Warranty
All goods are sold as seen and with all faults. No warranty is implied or given and you are advised to make your own inspection and bid accordingly as goods are non-returnable.
Risk
Goods are held at the risk of the purchaser from the fall of the hammer, and you are advised to insure accordingly.
VAT on Sales
VAT will be added to the hammer price of all lots unless declared otherwise. The auctioneers will only make a refund of VAT to overseas purchasers who provide them with proof of their VAT number and commercial evidence of movement within the EC, or proof of export from the EC within 30 days of sale.
Buyer Premium
A buyers premium will be added to the price of each lot without exception at the rate of 5% of the hammer price (+VAT). The VAT on buyers premium cannot be refunded.
Services
Repairs, steam cleaning and valeting services can be arranged.
No Children
No children under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult. Hawick Plant Auctions cannot be held responsible for personal injuries.
